7HT pinion bushing

The 7HT is a great reel but the pinion can suffer wear if you are using heavy weights or fishing rough conditions. Several companies offer brass pinion bushings. Brass is fine, but I also offer bushings made of Silicon Bronze (Marine Bronze) and the ultimate Titanium pinion bushing. Ti is the lightest, toughest and most corrosion resistant metal there is, so it is a natural for a salt water fishing reel

I noticed that there is not a single reel manufacturer offering a high quality ball bearing power handle. After cutting and machining a few one-off handles I went on a mission to build my own custom ball bearing handles. The result is a true power handle with a new style "soft touch" knob like the new ABU reels, but it spins on 2 stainless steel shielded ball bearings. The handles are available in several colors to accent your custom reel. A huge difference over the standard plastic-on metal clunky loose power handles we are all so used to. $40
I also offer a truly custom carbon fiber paddle handle that uses 4 shielded stainless steel ball bearings and comes with anodized aluminum knobs in colors to match your reel. The knobs have light and comfortable EVA grips. I got this idea after looking at the Dawia Mag Supertuned and finding one of the BEST features on that reel was the handle! $80
